From August 23 to August 25, the "Technical Seminar on Comprehensive Utilization of Coal Gangue (Coal Slurry) in the Yellow River Basin" jointly sponsored by Industrial Solid Waste Network, Shanxi University, Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and middling coal Energy Research Institute was successfully concluded in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province.
This conference focuses on the practical difficulties and needs faced by coal resource-based cities (enterprises) in the nine provinces of the Yellow River, including Shaanxi, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, etc. It deeply explores how to promote the transformation of the coal mining and selection industry towards a green, low-carbon, circular, and high-quality development model. The meeting emphasized the need to effectively reduce the emission intensity of solid waste in the coal industry, and focus on improving the disposal and comprehensive utilization efficiency of coal gangue and coal slurry, in order to effectively solve the ecological and environmental problems caused by this. Gathered leaders from relevant government regulatory departments, coal mining related enterprises, coal gangue comprehensive utilization industry chain collaborative related enterprises, solid waste disposal and utilization related research institutions, technology and equipment enterprises and other industry regulatory department heads.
As a co organizer, Wu Zhiping, the North Regional Manager of Quangong Group, presented a keynote report on "Key Technologies for Green and Intelligent Solid Waste Brick Making", sharing that under the dual carbon background, new development forms also put forward new requirements for the comprehensive utilization of bulk solid waste. Carrying out comprehensive utilization of bulk solid waste has significant synergistic effects on saving and replacing primary resources, effectively reducing carbon emissions, and is one of the important ways to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals. At the same time, the 2024 (6th) Conference on Construction Waste and Urban Development at Beijing Jianzhu University also kicked off. This conference is an industry event held under the new situation of construction waste, which comprehensively showcases the development status of the industry from the perspectives of policy guidance, the latest development trends and key technological directions of the domestic construction waste industry, and strengthens the industry's attention and thinking on construction waste treatment, environmental pollution and resource utilization issues.
