Recently, a delegation of experts from the National Innovation Research Institute for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Beijing Institute of Technology visited Fujian Quangong Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Quangong Machinery") for inspection and exchange. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions on core issues such as the intelligent upgrading of mechanical equipment, technological innovation in green building materials, and the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, exploring new paths for university-enterprise cooperation and injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.
At the Quangong Machinery factory, the professor delegation visited the intelligent production workshop, the core technology R&D center, and the green building materials equipment exhibition area. They highly praised the ZN2000 fully automatic block molding machine, which utilizes a servo vibration system and intelligent diagnostic system to efficiently convert construction waste into high-quality permeable bricks. As one of the first batch of "Manufacturing Single Champion Demonstration Enterprises" designated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Quangong Machinery, through the acquisition of Zenith Maschinenfabrik GmbH of Germany, has integrated advanced Chinese and German technologies to create the ZN series equipment, achieving a solid waste utilization rate of up to 70% and a 22% reduction in energy consumption. Its intelligent cloud service platform enables remote monitoring and predictive maintenance, and the related technology has won numerous awards, including a gold medal at the Paris International Invention Exhibition. The professors inquired in detail about core processes such as planetary mixing technology and laser positioning and clamping systems, expressing their appreciation for Quangong Machinery's cost-effective "German design + Chinese manufacturing" model and its practical achievements in sponge city construction and waste-free city development.
During the discussion, both sides focused on industry pain points and technological bottlenecks, reaching several consensuses. Professors from Beijing Institute of Technology stated that Quangong Machinery's engineering experience in solid waste resource utilization and intelligent equipment mass production is highly complementary to the university's advantages in basic research in high-end materials and intelligent control, especially in servo drive and AI-based optimization technologies, where there is broad scope for cooperation. Fu Binghuang, Chairman of Quangong Machinery, introduced that the company has established a national-level postdoctoral research station and has stable cooperation with many universities. This time, they hope to leverage the academic resources of Beijing Institute of Technology to achieve breakthroughs in core technology research and development and high-end talent training, promoting the upgrading of green building materials equipment to higher precision and lower energy consumption.
At the meeting, both parties tentatively agreed to jointly establish a "Smart Equipment Joint Research and Development Center," focusing on collaborative research on topics such as intelligent equipment for solid waste resource utilization and low-carbon cementitious material processes. They also plan to launch a "dual-mentor" talent training program to provide high-quality technical talent to the company. This collaboration will achieve a deep integration of cutting-edge university technologies and corporate engineering practices, creating a virtuous cycle of "research and development – transformation – industrialization."
This visit and exchange of ideas represent not only a collision of intellect between a top university and an industry leader, but also a significant milestone in university-enterprise collaborative innovation. In the future, Quangong Machinery will use this cooperation as an opportunity to continue its deep commitment to the field of green and intelligent equipment.
