Recently, faculty and students from the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering at Liming Vocational University visited Fujian Quangong Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Quangong Machinery Co., Ltd.") for a practical activity combining factory tours, research, and discussions. The students and faculty explored the company's development history exhibition hall, intelligent equipment cloud service platform, brick sample display area, and machining workshop, experiencing firsthand the vibrant energy of a concrete block molding machine manufacturing enterprise.

Entering the Quangong Machinery Co., Ltd. development history exhibition hall, a series of precious old photographs and historical equipment models chronicled the company's journey from its founding in 1979 to the present day. From its beginnings as a small municipal engineering machinery factory to its current status as an industry benchmark with overseas subsidiaries such as Zenith in Germany and numerous accolades including being among the first batch of "China Manufacturing Single Champion Demonstration Enterprises" recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Quangong Machinery Co., Ltd.'s growth trajectory allowed the faculty and students to deeply appreciate the dedication and innovation behind the business philosophy of "quality determines value, professionalism builds success." The company's guide provided detailed explanations of technological breakthroughs and product iterations at each stage of development.  When mentioning milestone events such as the development of the first "fully automatic multi-piece brick making machine" in China in 2000 and the first domestically produced dry mortar machine in 2004, the audience frequently expressed admiration, giving the students a clearer understanding of the development trajectory of the intelligent manufacturing industry.

In the smart equipment cloud service platform exhibition area, the charm of digital transformation was immediately apparent. Staff members demonstrated how the platform uses cloud technology and data communication protocols to collect real-time operational data from smart equipment worldwide, enabling a full range of services including online monitoring, remote upgrades, and fault prediction and diagnosis. "Through this platform, equipment malfunctions can be resolved quickly, after-sales service efficiency is improved, and data mining can lead to increased production and reduced energy consumption," they explained. The detailed data allowed the students to intuitively experience the efficiency revolution that the Industrial Internet brings to manufacturing. When they learned that the platform also incorporates AR maintenance technology to enable cross-regional remote inspection and debugging, many students took out their phones to record the demonstration, expressing their admiration for the powerful capabilities of digital technology in empowering businesses and gaining a clearer understanding of the connection between their professional studies and industry needs.

In the brick sample display area, a dazzling array of eco-friendly building blocks captivated visitors. From permeable bricks suitable for sponge city construction to diverse curb stones and landscape bricks, these products, manufactured using Quanzhou Intelligent Equipment, cover various fields such as municipal construction and landscape architecture. The guide explained that, leveraging its core technological advantages, the company's products are not only bestsellers in China but also exported to over 160 countries and regions worldwide, providing high-quality solutions for key construction projects both domestically and internationally. The teachers and students closely observed the materials and craftsmanship of the brick samples, inquiring in detail about product performance parameters and production processes, thus connecting theoretical knowledge of material mechanics and process design with actual products, achieving a concrete enhancement of their theoretical understanding.

Subsequently, the teachers and students visited the machining workshop, entering the front lines of intelligent manufacturing. In the workshop, CNC machining centers and automated assembly lines operated at high speed, robotic arms precisely completing various operations, and the digital production system displayed production progress and quality monitoring data in real time, demonstrating the synergistic effect of a "green factory" and "intelligent workshop." Company technical experts led the teachers and students through the entire process from raw material processing to equipment assembly, focusing on explaining the application of key technologies such as the interconnection of CNC equipment and precise production status sensing. The students actively engaged with the technical experts, discussing issues such as processing optimization and equipment maintenance techniques, creating a strong learning atmosphere on site.

Following the visit, representatives from both the university and the company held a discussion. The representative from Quangong Machinery Co., Ltd. introduced the company and, drawing on their own experiences, encouraged the students to cherish their learning time, cultivate expertise in their professional fields, and enhance their practical skills to contribute to regional industrial development.  The company also presented information on its current talent needs. A faculty representative from the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering at Liming University stated that the visit provided an excellent platform for university-industry interaction, allowing students and faculty to gain a deeper understanding of cutting-edge industry trends. This laid the foundation for further collaboration in areas such as dual-system education, joint development of training bases, and collaborative curriculum development. During the discussion, students also engaged in in-depth conversations with company representatives regarding concerns such as onboarding training, career development paths, and salary and benefits. The atmosphere was lively and cordial.

In the future, both parties will continue to leverage the municipal-level industry-education alliance to deepen cooperation in talent cultivation, technological research and development, and resource sharing, thereby contributing more high-quality technical talents with strong operational skills, process knowledge, and innovative capabilities to the high-quality development of Quanzhou's intelligent manufacturing industry.
